| Beginner Bellydancing |

Although this class is intended for those with little or no previous dance experience, some serious dancers join to refine their basic skills and learn a new choreography. We will focus on proper posture and stance, and basic movements such as: hip and rib slides, circles, twists, figure eights, hip lifts and drops, shimmies, basic 4-steps, and others while being introduced to the beauty of Arabic music and the flow and style of Oriental dance.
Although anyone is welcome on a drop in basis, the classes will build on each other and we will learn a complete choreography throughout the six weeks. Jamilah’s Belly dancing is pleased to provide the music and notes for this choreography to anyone who has registered for the 6 week session. Each hour will include warm-up and cool down, extensive instruction, drills, combinations (for cardio) and choreography. |
| Intermediate Bellydancing |

| Building on the basics learned in the beginner session(s), this class will continue to drill and increase the speed of the basic belly dance movements already learned, and we will introduce additional movements. Students will be exposed to other belly dancers through the choreography segment of the class, as each new routine learned will be inspired by a different acclaimed bellydancer. |
| Bellydance Bootcamp |

| This class is designed to be taken either in combination with beginner or intermediate bellydance classes or on its own if you’re simply looking for a great workout in order to tone your trouble zones! It follows an interval progression which combines components of basic bellydance moves (hips and chest) as well as traditional toning exercises that will target the abs, butt and arms in order to strengthen the body’s core muscles. |
| Tribal Fusion |

In this class, you will prepare your body for the muscular isolation and controlled movements needed to create the illusion of "bonlessness" in the upper body that is characteristic of Tribal Fusion Bellydance.
The class will incorporate a yoga warm up, core strength training, tribal style drills and cool down.
It is suggested that you bring a yoga mat, towel and water |
